Dr. Abe Sterne, PhD | Neuropsychological Evaluation
Dr. Sterne will be sharing on the neuropsychological evaluation. This evaluation provides information to parents about their child's current strengths and weaknesses, which allows them to use that cognitive and emotional profile to implement appropriate interventions for home and school. Using standardized and widely recognized tools, Dr. Sterne’s main objective is to do an evaluation that provides parents with a clearer understanding of their child’s abilities and challenges. The kinds of challenges that can benefit from a neuropsychological evaluation include: ADHD, Reading Difficulties (including dyslexia), Autistic Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger’s and social communication difficulties), Language Disorders, Nonverbal Learning Problems, Conduct Problems and other Emotional Difficulties.
Dr. Sterne has a PhD from the University of Cambridge in the field of literacy and language development. He holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London, and his thesis subject was about shame in adolescents.

Dr. Krisi Guadagnoli, PsyD | Managing Stress in Children
Like adults, children can develop stress symptoms due to a variety of stressors. In this interactive talk, Dr. Guadagnoli will discuss signs and symptoms of stress and how to avoid stressful conditions for your child. She will talk about tips and techniques parents can use to engage in positive ways with their children to avoid stressful conditions at home and at school.
Dr. Guadagnoli co-founded MindWell in 2004 and has been a licensed clinical psychologist for over 15 years. After becoming a parent herself, she had a vision of developing a clinical practice where children and families could be treated with warmth, empathy and excellent clinical services.
There will also be a 15 minute Q & A at the conclusion of the talk. Please join us!
