Tuition 2018-2019

  • Many related services are included in the tuition. Additional related services, such as SLP or OT may be provided at an additional cost. Please contact us if you have questions about related services. Includes all basic student field trips, materials and use of mobile devices. Optional student activities and trips, as well as any significant experiential learning trips will be billed separately.

    PLAN 1:  Full payment option: 98% of annual tuition + 100% of fees

    • Payment to submit with contract: $40,748 + $750 = $41,498

     

    PLAN 2: One payment option: 99% of annual tuition + 100% of fees

    • Payment to submit with contract: $4,158 as non-refundable deposit
    • July 1, 2018 Payment*:  $37,006 + $750 = $37,756

     

    PLAN 3: Two payment option:          

    • Payment to submit with contract: $4,158 as non-refundable deposit
    • July 1, 2018 Payment*: $20,790 + $750 = $21,540
    • December 1, 2018 Payment: $16,632

     

    PLAN 4: Monthly payment option:

    • Payment to submit with contract: $4,158 as non-refundable deposit
    • July 1 , 2018 Payment*: $3,902 per month for 10 months
    • A non-refundable $850 financing and administrative fee is included for this option. The fee is pro-rated for families awarded financial aid, and for mid-year enrollment. The remaining tuition balance is paid through FACTS Management Company in equal monthly installments due the 1st of each month, beginning July 2018 (or the first month of enrollment, if later) through April 2019. (Payment instructions on this plan will be sent to families who elect this option).

     

    *For mid-year enrollment, these payments are due with the contract.   

Annual Fees

    • Annual Technology, Materials & Activity Fee - $700
    • Annual Parents Association Fee - $50

Affordability

  • The Auburn School is firmly committed to working with any family who can benefit from our program to ensure adequate financial support is provided.  Please do not hesitate to contact our admissions office with any questions you may have.

    Our tuition and fees are set at a level that ensures we can provide an appropriate and high quality program for our students.  We understand the costs may be significant for many families.  However, we hope a variety of measures ensure our school remains widely accessible:  

    1.  Tax-Deductible Tuition*  

    We are unique from most private schools in that we serve a special population.  For most families, Auburn's tuition and fees may qualify as a tax-deductible medical expense.  This has the potential to reduce your tuition costs by thousands of dollars each year. Other expenses, such as your transportation costs, will also generally be tax-deductible.  For more information on this deduction, please speak with our staff, see the GreatSchools website, and consult your individual tax advisor.   *Individual circumstances will vary, so please be sure to consult your personal tax advisor.  A local CPA specializing in this area is Matthew Miller. 

    2.  Generous Financial Aid  

    To assist families that may not otherwise be able to consider Auburn, we dedicate a significant portion of our operating funds to support a generous financial aid program. We expect approximately 20-25% of students will receive tuition assistance, with average grant awards of about $7,500-$10,000. We also expect to offer a limited number of scholarship grants covering up to 75% of tuition and fees.  For more information, or to apply, please visit our page on Financial Aid.

    3.  Monthly Payment Plan    

    Finally, we partner with FACTS, a national, third-party tuition management service to offer a monthly payment plan.  Enrolling in FACTS also enables you to pay tuition using automated bank debits or a credit card.  For more information, please see our Tuition Management Page.
